The cursed Hayes device vapor recovery worked best on the bent neck of the=
64 Falcon with a extension hose dropped in the tank the bellows pulled bac=
k and a lower discharge level.=C2=A0 The same hose works wonders with the s=
ame slower fill rate and the when it's full you can have back splash.=C2=A0=
Travis C. made a neck adapter the helped as it had a hole to allow the bac=
k air=C2=A0 pressure to escape. But the faster you go the more you vaporize=
the fuel . Fast filling=C2=A0 is kinda like paying twice these days.=C2=A0=
Today's fuel discolors paint so if you leave no expansion room in the tank=
park in the sun beware as fuel pushes easily past the cork or any combinat=
ion of added gaskets.=C2=A0 As others have commented always had the problem=
with motorcycle tanks even have it with my 89 NX Honda.=C2=A0

Joel,
I think I have a vague recollection that there were some fill elbows(?) (be=
tween gas cap and
right side tank) that had an obstruction in the molded on fitting for the v=
ent hose (to the left
tank).=C2=A0 The hose and tanks and everything could be good and you would =
still have a problem
if that fitting was obstructed, first place I would check.
