From my short looking on the internet I believe the "rare" part of the
manifold is the area where the thermostat mounts. For those fussy about
exact date codes etc. that rarity might have relevance. As a cast iron 4
bbl. manifold..., it is only that. From a weight savings advantage you
would probably be better off with any dual plane aftermarket aluminum
4Bbl. manifold which used would cost about $100. Below is from a website:
