The R888 is not going to be more prone to puncture than any other lower TW =
rated tire. The R-comp "not suitable for highway use" disclaimer is mandate=
d, but not all R-comps are the same. e.g. Would I use Hoosier A7's on the s=
treet? Nope, they're basically slicks and soft as hell. But, the treaded R-=
comps I've never shied away from, whether RA1, R888, Victoracer etc etc and=
have never had a problem, This is on many cars, not just my Tiger.
They will wear much faster, they will not have the same type of siping capa=
bility of a true all weather street tire and they will likely bring more im=
pact harshness to the table. But, first time you commit to a turn at a "spi=
rited" rate of speed, you'll appreciate the grip :)
Agree on the increased loads to suspension components. Make sure everything=
is in good shape, especially bushings and bearings.
