Thanks Jay,For my article, I classified clocks as 3131/00 (red hands, 3 & 9=
horizontal, adjustments at 4 & 8 and Smiths logo below center), 3131/01 (r=
ed hands, 3 & 9 vertical, adjustments at 4 & 8 and Smiths logo above center=
), and Other Clocks that include a variety of Smiths clocks that either wer=
en't the above or couldn't tell from the picture, as well as all other cloc=
ks. So, I don't know how many have clocks with white hands.
I'm focusing the article on occurrence of motif type (gold or silver, unkno=
wn color) and clocks (as described above). I'll leave the nuance of clocks =
for another day.
