Hi,
The only Moroso pins I can find are 1/2". And the bellhousing is a pretty
tight fit on the pins. The measurements are made with a dial gauge mounted
to the flywheel without the clutch being installed. I might could get the
bellhousing to line up but then I would have to take it off to install the
clutch and then I wouldn't be able to line things up again.
I'm going to contact Quicktime and ask them why they make a bellhousing
that fits 3/8" dowels, tells you to use offset dowels to line it up but
doesn't make the dowels.
The best solution might be to get some longer dowel pins from one of the
industrial suppliers (none of the car parts people seem to have them).
Then come up with a washer that barely fits over the pin and adjust the
holes in the bellhousing to get a little slack. I can then line up the
bellhousing correctly, put the washers over the pins and tack weld them to
the bellhousing. Several companies make kits to do this, but not with 3/8"
dowels.
