Mark
You might be able to fill the header tank higher. I =
have not specifically tried that.
=20
I have the overflow hose in a catch bottle. I did nothing special with =
this configuration. Antifreeze flows into the catch bottle and as the =
engine cools, the antifreeze get sucked back into the header tank so it =
acts like a recovery system.

Ron,
By using the "catch bottle" that you mention, does that allow you to =
fill the overflow tank to a higher level and thus, add additional =
coolant to the entire system? Mark L

Header tank overflow pipe 9233561 5/16=E2=80=9D =
black tube just under radiator cap
9178502 clip =E2=80=93 overflow pipe to header tank
P.49294 clip =E2=80=93 overflow pipe
=20
Anyone know the original length of this overflow pipe?
=20
Mine is 21.5=E2=80=9D long but I remember cutting a split and cracked =
end off.
=20
Also does anyone have a picture of the original route for this tube and =
the position of the 2 clips?
=20
My overflow pipe goes to a catch bottle in the left front corner now and =
I don=E2=80=99t recall if I ever had the original clips.
=20
Thanks
Ron Fraser
