Lots of aspects factor into rubbing. You stated originally there was no ru=
bbing. And, you thought it might be a weight issue. If so removed what must=
be the added weight. If it is spring sag then they will need to be replace=
d or re-arced. Perhaps a leaf is broken??? There is the possibility that t=
he Panhard rod bushings have worn. Thus the prescribed arc of the Panhard r=
od is no longer holding the tires off an area..., or the slop is allowing t=
he axle to move and rub.
What type of driving causes the rub. Bumps, turning? Where are the tires ru=
bbing? Inner fender (and if there on the inside or outside wall). Or is it =
the wheel opening lip that is rubbing? If it is the wheel opening lip there=
are services that can deal with this and generally not affect the paint. W=
hat is the wheel offset and the tire size? You might be near the edge of sl=
im margins. Longer shackles may flex even more and it will alter the pinio=
n angle and roll steer. I agree with a previous poster raising the rear of =
the Tiger upwards towards 2=E2=80=9D- 3=E2=80=9D is excessive.

More info, The car has original springs, it has dropped down in the rear es=
pecially on my side , I think it's a weight issue. I've had 15 inch Panaspo=
rt's on for some time with no isssues. And I had air shocks for awhile, har=
sher ride, looked good though! So, Mr King is probably wright new springs =
and a good new rear shock will keep that tire off my fender..

Why? Are you putting in larger diameter wheels? Might look quite a bit od=
d. And similar sized wheels in front would hit when turning.
