Based on the price of the past 4 fixer cars 15,000 to 20,000 for a car that
needs everything and has significant rust issues is the benchmark that I have
seen, plus what you see online. Hardly anyone believes the 86 code car in a
medium blue metal flake car sold at Gooding in AZ lovingly called " The crooked
trim car." Y'all should have seen the cobbled together rusty car from Wyoming
drug to AZ that sold for 18,000. Trans and rear end from another car needing
inner and outer rockers and at least 18" either side of exhaust pass thru's,
but it had a 260 with 2bbl carb tag temp block and oil filter:)

Those guides are just that, they also tend to be overoptimistic since the
gfc and when "collector cars" suddenly became any old car..... If anything
I'd suggest the market for tigers is beginning to settle back a little and
guides like haggerty etc are based on peoples asking prices and also
auction results, which a few cars ( some very suspicious ones in terms of
if they are genuine sales) are distorting the figures.
