Rob,
I=92m using 205-45R16 on 7 inch wheels, but this is generally not achievabl=
e on stock suspension components nor without clearancing the front fenders.=
Also, the camber curves on the front suspension have to be tweaked (and no=
te that I=92m not saying my solution is right) to avoid heavy steering and =
egregious scrub due to the contact patch not being close to flat in some si=
tuations.

And, by the time you get to 16=94 the sidewall is getting pretty short, whi=
ch has appearance issues unless you like that sort of thing. Maybe I just n=
eed wider tires ;)

res

The unavailability of any wide and low profile 13=94 street tires compels s=
earching for 15 & 16=94 tire and wheel combinations.
The tire calculator at http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.do com=
pares existing to preferred tire sizes.
Was the original 5.90 x 13 Tiger tire size an 80 or greater profile? The 1=
972 Workshop manual isn=92t that specific except to specify a 11.5=94 rolli=
ng radius.
The calculator shows a 5.90 (150 mm) when input as a 155-80 R13 at 22.76=94=
overall diameter, 71.51=94 circumference and doing 886 revs per mile which=
suggests using a 225-45 R15 as a very closely comparative replacement.
Does anyone have information on whether 15 inch tires will become as hard t=
o find as wider than 185 sections for 13=94 tires are now?
Are 16=94 or larger diameter wheels and tires a better alternative or widel=
y in use on others=92 Tigers?
