The Parts List indicates 5.90 x 13 tires for the Tiger.
=20
http://www.carbibles.com/vintagetyresizes.html
=20
This site has a chart that converts sizes.
=20
The thinner 155/80 - 13 possibly will not rub on the trunk wood but the =
only
way to avoid that is to put a cloth between the tire and the wood.
Any weight in the trunk will push the wood down to the rim or the rubber
whichever is higher.
=20
You really should have a spare tire that has similar circumference as =
your 4
main tires. If you put a different circumference tire on the rear the
differential will be working harder to compensate. You can wear the
differential out very fast. Putting different size tire on the front =
has
less impact - steering and braking could be different.

Sorry to bring this up but I am having problem with spare tire size, =
still.

My understanding is the 66 Tiger Mk 1A came with a Dunlop RS-5 tire but =
not
sure of the current day size. I believe it to be a 165/78/13 but not =
sure.
Anyone know for sure?

What I can find out there are some no name manufactures selling =
165/70/13.

The only 80 aspect ration I can find are Kumho Solus TA11 in 155/80/13.

The spare will be just to get me to a station as the car tires will be
205/50/15 probably Yokohama
<http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=3DYokohama&tireModel=3D=
S.drive
> S.drive (Ultra High Performance Summer tires. Anyone with experience =
on
these?

Thoughts on whether the 155/80/13 or the 165/70/13 would be best to fit =
the
trunk with no rubbing or hitting the trunk wood cover?

Regards
Joel Martin

for a 1966 MK 1A. I see Talbot JR and SR as a LAT option but cannot =

Without going to the body parts illustration, there's a channel running
across the top of the boot covered by the vinyl top "cover" so I can't

2, but I can't say for certain that was the original location; I bought =

That is about right, I have an old
165x13. The usual problem is height
though. Mine is about as tall or=20
maybe too tall to fasten the "floor"
down.

My spare is a 165/13 on a stock rim and I dont think much more would fit =
in
my 1a's trunk, heightwise.
