Hi Gary I fully agree with you as the stop needing to be adjustable but I
think they didn't think about too many driver comforts 50 years ago and
they show in the manual to adjust your linkage to the stop. I do not have
the standard linkage but a heavy duty stainless steel one like Lokar. The
problem I had was when I pushed too hard, the pedal rod clamp (only one)
slipped on the upright linkage rod. I was ready to weld it! And NO, I can't
restrain my foot in my Tiger!! If I could, I wouldn,t be planning for
"347" and stay with the modified 302. That would make my wife very HAPPY! I
find on my two cars that all three pedals are about even with it installed.
The reason I made the part was I checked with many other Tiger owners and
they wanted it. As you know, many owners want to keep their cars stock so
changing to a rod is not a option. I guess you could cut the rubber stop
down if you wanted it lower or raise with washers for higher.Maybe they
should have made a adjusting kit with different height stops but they
missed the boat on selling them.-------H'mmm LAT 101 Accelerator Pedal Stop
Adjustment Kit!!!
