Darrell,
That picture (and many more that I took) were from Tigers United in Eureka
in 1997. #9 was sporting yellow wheels and a matching yellow spoiler across
the tail. Seeing those 3 cars together for the first time ina long
timewas just amazing!

Michael & Kirk,
Yes, the N: 9 car was the one lent be Marcus Chambers to Bernard Unett and
campaigned during the 1965 season. Mr. Unett was responsible for the notch
in the bulkhead to accommodate the Weber 48IDA carbs as well as other
modifications to make the car more competitive. At what point in time the
4.2 motor was swapped out for the 4.7 is uncertain. That is one important
bit of information that I've not been able to determine.
N: 9 was subsequently sold / given (??) to Alan Fraser racing where it was
stripped of all its important bite to create the "Monster Tiger". In the
early '70s N: 9 was "discovered" and retrieved from a chicken shed behind
Fraser's facility by Ted Walker, Ken Dalziel & a couple others. It was
"resurrected" using Jaguar bits and vintage raced in the UK before being
purchased and coming across the pond.
Kirk, I am unfamiliar with the pic you posted on N: 9. Can you tell me any
detaile of it ? It appears to be from the time period when Syd Silverman
owned the car.
Cheers,
Darrell
