[Tigers] Tiger carpet question

The memorial weekend project is to replace the carpet and all the vinyl around 
the cockpit on my Mk1a.

Does the pedestal that supports the hi/low beam headlight switch mount on top 
of the carpet or under.

Same question for the gas pedal support.
