The Tiger that came up for auction yesterday, and apparently the same
Tiger that had previously been offered on EBay, might have sold yesterday:-)
I
attended the auction and the Tiger got up to $26,000 and the auctioneer
said "sold" ,but he seemed to say sold on every car and at least half had a
reserve, so not sure if the Tiger sold or not. So, it either sold for $26k
or had a reserve of $26k. You might remember that another modified Tiger got
to about the same price range in a Florida auction a few weeks back.
This one had fender flares, 4 wheel disc brakes, nice 5 lug wheels,
modified engine, interior seemed nice stock, but not new, lift off hood held on
by 4 pins, good top and good paint job .
The one thing that didn't help the presentation was that the fiber hood
appeared to be warped and left huge gaps on each side. The trunk also had
very poor allignment with resulting gaps and didn't appear to be closing all
the way.
I couldn't locate an owner and so never got the see the engine and couldn't
get any vin #'s. Maybe they were already produced when the car was on
EBay.
