You did mention pulling the intake, sooo....
Another consideration to reduce under carb heat would be to block off the
exhaust passages that presently (in stock configuration) allow the hot gasses
to flow into the chamber under the plenum floor of the intake manifold there
by raising the temperature of the carb. This is the odd shaped passage is in
the center of the line of intake ports. Many quality aftermarket gasket
companies include this plate with their intake set, but you can make a pair
from the bottom of soup cans. Lightly RTV them in place on the bare head
surface and install the side gaskets over them.
While it works fine in california, it may not be the right choice for Tigers
in the Northeast (etc.) that see winter time duty (not sure where you are
located). Among other benefits, it's designed to help to speed winter warm-ups
and prevent carb icing.
