I would also like to send my thanks to Max and the Vanderpools for the
impeccable organization of SUNI.
Lucia and I (now back in England) are very glad we managed to make it albeit
only until Tuesday breakfast. It was wonderful to put faces to many names
from the list who have contributed their wisdom over the past two or three
years, to meet many new sunbeam enthusiasts and to see so many beautiful
cars. We felt very welcome and would particularly like to thank Claudia and
Buck for their warm hospitality. I'm sure I'm not the only one who found it
very strange to drive around Rapid City and see so many alpines and tigers
bombing around!
I'm saddened to hear of a dark cloud over the event but we should take heart
that it is a very small minority in such a large group.
