Last year when I finally got around to re-attaching the side trim, I used
nylon bolts and nuts for most of the moldings. The holes I couldn't reach for
attaching the nuts, I used trim adhesive. Has held up well so far.

I'm not sure there is a source for the original side molding clips,
maybe there are sum in England. I have been using the plastic ones for a
couple of decades now and I think I replaced 2 of them in that time frame.
I believe they were originally a VW part but not totally sure right now so
unless that part has changed I don't see a problem with them. Let's see
what others have to say and offer.

Subject: [Tigers] Tiger Side moldind clips?
I just got a call from the body shop and asked me if he can remove the
clips on the car he sais it would make the body work a lot easier I said
that I would get back to him so my question is What sources do we have for
the side molding clips the ones that look like pop rivets? I see that there
are ones in plastic but I saw notes that they really do not work well.
Thanks
George
