I dunno... You'd have to bulge the hood.
If we're going to play "if only" with an eye to cost-no-object
performance, then I think that an aluminum block and lightweight
rotating assembly are good places to start. Or figure out how to put a
modular 32-valve engine in there. A 6-speed transmission with good
ratios (I know that's already been done...) ... Add all wheel drive.
No reason that the Tiger shouldn't be as nimble as Ken Block's Impreza.
