This is definitely not a part you want to lose, it is a unique
Sunbeam or British Car part so just in case you just misplaced it here is a
description.
This is a British spec 5/16 compression tube nut.
My notes state the fitting to the cross tube is a brass compression fitting;
11/16 hex, 1/2 x 20 threads, this is probably UNC thread but I'm guessing
here and it is .665" long.
The fitting to the electric fuel pump is similar but shorter, .505" long
My notes are old so if you have a fitting made be sure to double check all
dimensions.
I suspect that you could use either fitting at the cross tube but the longer
one will have more thread contact.
You can probably find the short nut on any period British car with an
electric fuel pump.
Good hunting.
Happy New year to all.

Subject: [Tigers] Need a part
I am reassembling the fuel tanks on my Alpine. I have lost the nut that
connects the fuel line to the fuel cross-tube. If anyone has a spare please
contact me.
Thanks,
Wayne
