The Parrish top mounts differently than the Rootes hard top in case you don't
know. Parrish tops use a turnbuckle at the "B" pillar. The turnbuckle
attaches to a bolt you mount inside the car after the rear door jamb. A stock
hard top has a lever operated clamp that hooks on to the chrome cap on the the
door jamb. Plus, the stock top has two fittings on the rear of the top that
slide into the two trunk hinges. A Parrish top lacks the those two fittings.
Both tops attach at the windshield frame with the same type of clamp.
Smoothline still makes this type of hard top. You can find them on the web.
Another top that shows up once in a while is the Dynaplast top. This one is
a angular, squared off shape like the Rootes top. I think it mounts the same
way as the Parrish top.
At one time my car had a Parrish top but wasn't included with the car when
I bought it. It took me a while to figure why my car had two chrome bolts
behind the seats. I was blaming the DPO for doing something stupid.
