I don't know if you got any answers that didn't make it to the list in
general, so I'll do what I can at the risk of telling you something that you
already know.
First, the "O" code for Fairlane is not unusual. The Ford small block 221
was originally designed for the Fairlane, which also used the 260 and 289 in
turn. Many parts used on those engines had Fairlane designations.
I don't have anything to decode the carb tag, but you might try
http://www.carbdford.com. As the name implies, they seem to be able to
answer any questions about Ford carbs including decoding tags.
