Mike
        Mustang detail information indicates that for 66,67,68 the engine
color is Ford Blue DE-1606.
Ford called this color Ford Corporate Blue

I'm not an expert on the correct color and I have no examples of the
different colors to tell the differences.

Here are some considerations you need to be aware of;

Engine code F21KA should be painted black.
Engine Code B19KC; The short poll I took indicates that this engine
code was painted Old Ford Blue
Engine Codes A11KK and A22KK are definitely OFB

Questions To you;
What is the engine code for your Tiger?

Do you have the Ford engine Tag? That's the small aluminum tag on the
intake manifold.
If so what are the numbers?

What is the engine build date? That number is on a machined section just in
front of the left cylinder head.

All of these numbers can help determine the color.

Ford switched from Black to Corporate Blue for the 1966 model year which
means the color changed sometime in 1965.
The exact date is probably unknown because they either used black until it
was gone and phased in blue or they just cut in blue to denote the 1966
model year engine.

Listers, I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but looking at
the Book Of Norman, it indicates that Mk 1s and Mk IIs after B382000600
should have "old Ford Blue."

Not so simple. Duplicolor has three Ford Blue paints. DE 1601 is "Ford
Blue." and is the lightest, it also appears closest to my well worn 260's
paint. It is not known if it has been painted before, but there is no
evidence of any other shade. it's certainly possible it's not original.

DE 1621 is "Old Ford Blue" but that is considerably darker than the paint on
my engine and transmission. Is this what TBON is referring to? Finally DE
1606 is "Ford Dark Blue" which seems to be much more contemporary and
darkest of them all. This isn't even close and I'm certain this is not
correct for Tigers. But perhaps TBON means old Ford Blue, older than what
Ford was using through the 70s and into the 90s when the book was published.

So can any body settle which Duplicolor product is correct? Thanks.
