When I bought my Tiger, I brought it home on a flatbed truck - in pieces - and
lots of boxes!
My wife said, "I can't believe you paid $7,000 for that." The 7K included a
Triumph Bonneville motorcycle, which I sold for $2,000 - that I promptly fed to
the Tiger - along with several more thousands of dollars. And, it was very
much worth every penny. My kids called it the "Save the Tiger Project."
Anyway, throughout a total rebuild Rick, Curt, and Tiger Tom and Joanne Erhardt
provided parts and advice that were invaluable. The parts were always of the
highest quality - as was the advice and technical support.
Also, the people on the Tiger List proved to be a great resource as well. I
needed a part that I could not find to buy. A guy on the list sent me the
part. The note inside said "Happy Birthday" (it wasn't my birthday). I
called him to thank him and to pay him. He said, "Buy me a beer the next time
you see me." We both knew that we would probably never meet.
I've had several cars over the years - muscle cars, Corvettes, hot rods,
motorcycles, etc. I have never met a nicer group than those who share interest
in the Tiger. Tiger people are the best!
