That happens all the time. As a longtime eBay user, I've found that
there are a LOT of items that end up going for more than the street
price or even MSRP, especially computer gear. You have to know what you
are bidding on, know its value, and stop when it's no longer a good
deal. When there are two people caught up in the frenzy of trying to
outbid each other, or if there is a bidder who doesn't know that the
item is still available new for the same price, then the knowledgeable
buyer has to get out.
In the Tiger world this seems to happen quite often with gear that Rick
from SS sells, especially the valve covers. There was also the used LAT
hood that went for over $1100.

Subject: [Tigers] Ron Davis Radiator for sale...confused, again
Listers,
There is a Ron Davis aluminum Tiger radiator on eBay, item number
"230285901409"...
<snip>
Thanks everyone for letting me get on my soapbox for a brief second.
Obviously this doesn't hurt anyone but the buyer himself, and maybe he
or she has their reasons....
Cullen
