The owner of the "Purple Cow" is a fellow in New York state. He has owned  
the car since new and drag raced it in the early - mid 70's.
 
He's now in his mid-70's, but gets to as many shows and meets as he can. I  
believe he drives the car every day.
 
Drag racing explains the tow tabs.
 
The color is obviously a personal choice, but it does draw a  crowd.
