The show you are refering to may have been Victory By Design hosted bt Alain
DeCadinet (sp?). That was shown frequently on Speed a few years ago.
As for 101 Cars... I believe the intent is to have a show that moves quickly
for todays short attention span viewers. Alonzo Bodden is, in my opinion,
doing a fine job. I had an opportunity to meet him a few weeks ago and he is
a genuine and well informed automotive enthusiast, and genuinely enjoyed the
Tiger. Given the shows format, only so much information can be included for
each car. Also, these shows are independent productions that are typically
produced on barely more than shoestring budgets. We get what they pay for.

It was really dissapointing. The audio man made the MGA engine sound far
beefier than the Tiger. No detailed shots of the car or pushing it
acceleration or handling wise. I think the MGA and the Kcar got more
screentime. It's really a lousy show anyway, not just this episode. Poor
script, untalented clueless star and too little time spent on any car. I'd
rather see it done in hour shows or cut the list to Top 50 cars you must
drive. How is the Kcar a top car "you must drive" ?
maybe one you need to know about historically or to avoid a purchase but DRIVE
?
Come on.
I recall a show that featured really exotic classic cars and had gorgeous
photography including lots of nook and cranny shots and pretty country road
drives. I can't recall the title, anyone know ?

Just saw the episode of "101 Cars You Should Drive" that talked about the
Tiger, pretty cool, would have like to have seen a good burnout, but it was
not to be.
It was episode #4 "Keeping it in the Family" which is interesting because it
said the episode was about The Edsel and the Ferrari Dino. Instead it was
about MGA's,Tigers. K-code Chryslers and BMWs.
It's always good to get some exposure though.
