It says that motorcycles account for 3.6% of registered vehicles, 1% of
miles travelled, but 10% of the smog causing emissions. Note that it's
not just carbon monoxide, but oxides of nitrogen creating this problem.
More to the point, it concludes with the following shocker: "Motorcycles,
even small ones, are more polluting than Hummers, but it's the best that
can be done for now."
