sorry - i've been a pain recently! i'm trying to decide between the
following clutches for a 300hp 302, stock top loader and 2.88 posi
rear:
1) centerforce II
2) centerforce dual friction
3) zoom competition
4) zoom high performance (kevlar)
5) hays street
6) mcleod StreetPro
- zoom appears to be the cheapest and i heard the kevlar surface is
better at resisting oil than organic discs.
- some people on this list have spoken favorably of centerforce clutches.
- mcleod seems to be the clutch of choice for circuit racers
- a reasonable pedal effort would be a benefit.
is there anything specific to the tiger (i.e. hydraulic operation /
long first gear) that should affect my choice?
i guess i should get a new flywheel, pilot bearing, rear crankshaft
oil seal and throw out bearing while i'm doing the job? or maybe just
have the flywheel skimmed.
thanks for the continued support of everyone!
