Three liters seems like too much. The rated capacity should work out to
about 2 quarts by American measure and that's convenient since that's how
gear oil is packaged. One time I filled it until it flowed out the filler
hole. But I found that it was blowing oil out the vent hole on the top
cover, so concluded I should stick with the recommended amount.
