My cousins lived on the ocean side of A-1-A in Melbourne Beach for many
years. They had to replace their kitchen appliances every five years or
so, the salt in the air would literally rust them from the outside-in. I
vividly remember a refrigerator showing insulation through the door.
Yes, Florida cars can be a real rust nightmare, the salt spray gets into
every crevice.
And $25 large seems a bit steep for a MK1 needing that much work,
original or not.
