Thanks for the link, Steve-I just saw an old post of mine asking this very
same question!
Anyhow, over the years I've found out where to get excellent 13"
high-performance tires. I use Toyo Proxes RA1's. I have those on my Tiger,
and Sumitomo HTR 200's on my old beemer. I like the Toyo's much more. The
Sumi's slide sooner and start making squeeling sounds the minute you turn
the wheel.
The Toyo's are available @ Sears Point:

The upside to the sumi's is they will last a lot longer.
My Toyo's have lasted probably about 4000-5000 miles; not long, but every
mile was a blast!

Belated response to thread on Tiger wheels.
On the Tiger List, for a number of years, there have been many inquires
about Road Wheels. TigersUnited.com has an excellent series of Tiger
owners wheels. There are 10 pages of information, that may have
disconnected links, but can be viewed by "Search" and by directly going
to the 10 pages.

Some rare wheels are shown from well known Tiger enthusiasts, and text
Tiger List commentary as far back as Aug. 1999 by well regarded, and
knowledgeable Bob Palmer.
A word of caution, here. While the wheels shown have been used for some
time, it should be noted that there are NO new tires that fit a 13"
wheels with anything like performance characteristics. I have some 13"
Michelin X tires on my Silverstone wheels (shown) They are ONLY made
for Costco, and must be purchased through them. They are NOT the
Michelin X I used to use in the late 50's, and they do not like wet
roads. However that may be a California peculiarity, as it doesn't rain
very often. That means that the oil on the road surface has been
collecting for a long time, and the first wetting brings ALL of it to
the surface.
Even 14" performance tires are disappearing.
