This morning I went through all of the Silver State results for the past
10 years. They always show the standing of every car that enters, but,
sadly, there are no Sunbeam entries. So maybe one of you..? My
straight line car is not up to that. Just so everyone knows how it
works, you pick a car speed to run against. The unlimited class is balls
out, but, the other speed categories is 95 mph to 180mph. The slower
calsses are 5 mph apart while the faster ones are 10 miles per hour
apart. When you pick a speed to run against you are trying to match that
speed exactly which is an average speed for the entire 90 miles. So if
you pick the 150 class you need to average 150 for 90 miles. As I
understand it there is a trap for an intermediate speed along the way.
There are also a 1 mile acceleration and a time to speeds all the way up
to 180 mph. A Mitsu Evo claimed the 0 - 180 mph time at 19 seconds and
change last year. I suspect it wasn't stock, lol.
