Based on reading the SAAC news release, the letter from Shelby's lawyer,
and the Team Shelby stuff (and not knowing anything else about the
situation) it appears to me that there are some significant egos butting
heads here. However, it also looks like Rick Kopec put himself (and SAAC
by extension) in a position where they didn't legally own or share in
any of the rights to the historical data or even the data that they've
collected over the last decade or more.
Kopec should have had a lawyer review his licensing agreements with
Shelby before they were signed...
