mmichels, The clicking of a hot 260 engine at idle is usually due to tappet wear and low oil pressure. If after using Tom's method of adjustment you still have the clicking problem, you can eliminate it by replacing the oil pump with a high flow pump (not high pressure) and heavy duty pump drive shaft.
