Paul, thanks for the compleiment. But, the car is not a Tiger. I have 
carefully refrained from calling it that. And since most of everything 
has been removed that defines what model it is, I prefer to simply call 
it a Sunbeam. Land Speed Racing, or more accurately time trials,  is 
lots of really boring time in line waiting to run (8 hours last 
August!)  and then 2 minutes of panic. The salt can be vvery twitchy. 
The coefficient of frictionis pretty low at 0.65 to 0.8 or so depending 
on the dryness. That makes for some puckered you know whats and really 
hard concentration  to keep it going in the direction it is supposed to 
go. So far it has been fun!
