Bought mine in 1981 from a guy who needed the $$ to pay his mortgage.

Paid $3000, including a hard top and extra hood.

Car ran like crap, but a tune-up and a larger air filter (the one on it 
barely covered the 2-bbl carb) solved those problems.

Had an off the showroom floor MKII in 1967-1972, but didn't know what I had. 
I won't tell you what I did with that one.
