Well, it is almost time to go. The trailer is (was) loaded, coolers
ready to be filled and truck fueled (F250 PS, Big Hoss 85 HP chip, trans
COmmand, big exhaust - there that should cover the truck list). Got a
call a couple of days ago, National Geographic is sending a film crew to
watch me get ready to go to the salt with the world's fstest sunbeam
(wannabe). So I had to unloaad the car and make room for the stuff in
the trailer so I could get around. NG will be here filming between 9
and 11 when they have to head back to Las Vegas to catch a flight out
for the Salt. I think they will be following the car at the raceway.
SUpposed to be a film coming out one day, but who knows. Will reload all
the other stuff back into the trailer this afternoon, hook up and lift
off at 4 am in the morning. It is about 400 plus miles from beautiful
downtown PAhrump to Wendover, but I am figuring an all day tow (heavy).
I have a spare CPS and enough wrenches to repair anything on the truck
or trailer. I have 20 gallons of high octane race gas, 79 gallons of
diesel in the truck but thinking about another 10 race gas and 10
diesel. I am of course carrying way to much to the salt. I will check my
mail on the road and will send any pertinent updates.
Wish us luck....
