The only difference is the color; the red lenses were originally for
the USA and Canada market.

Inside screw lenses are attached with screws that go through the
metal bezel to the lenses; outside screw lenses are attached through the
lenses to the metal bezel. This was most likely a cost savings step for
production.

TBON states:
B382000901 to B382002706

"At this point in the body evolution, round corner deck lids were phased out
along with blind screw taillight housings. The new taillight fixtures had
fixed lamp sockets with lenses attached by visible screws from the outside."

Inside screw lenses therefore have removable lamp sockets; outside
screw lenses have fixed lamp sockets. If you have enough extra parts; you
can mix and match these parts to make the taillights your way. The Amber
lenses can be used in the USA and Canada now. So make them your way.

I put a dual element lamp sockets in the turn signal position so
that when the lights are on the whole taillight is lit for better
visibility. That combination requires the turn light lenses be red.
