Larry,
I purchase a set of Mitsubishi Eclipse seats (not sure of year, 1994???)
for my Tiger. One reason was comfort, but the other was price ($16 each at
Pick A Part). Here is a link to the basic design (my coloring is much better
than pictured):
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.turbochargers.com/Images/UsedParts/DriverSeat.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.turbochargers.com/UsedParts/PassSeats.htm&h=640&w=480&sz=118&tbnid=zZbK2vgkk2lvAM:&tbnh=135&tbnw=101&hl=en&start=87&prev=/images%3Fq%3D%2Beclipse%2Bseats%26start%3D80%26svnum%3D100%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DN
Notice that the inner seat bolster is narrower than the outer and that helps
with fit. I have not installed mine yet, but mock-up shows that a plate of
some type with countersunk bolts would be helpful for each rail to adapt as
the bolt locations are near each other. On thing I found when looking for
seats is that few if any have the thin looking seat back like the Tiger has.
Because of this a lot of seats have that "Barcalounger" look. These seats
(to me) are a compromise between fit, looks and price. Don't throw out your
old seats. They are always valuable at resale time.
