I acquired my Tiger by luck. I was on my motorcycle one mile from my house
and saw a red car for sale up ahead. I thought Alpine....Got closer and it
was a Tiger. Stopped, looked at it and realized I knew little about the car.
Owner wanted $5000, price sounded high so I offered $4000. He accepted. This
was 1985. He was the original owner and the car had sat under a carport for
ten years. It ran and I drove it home. Pulled squirrel nest from under
passenger kick panel. Met Doug Jennings and acquired the information/parts I
needed. Stripped the car down, rebuilt drive train, repainted with Spies
Hecker lacquer. Rework cost was under $1000 and a lot of work Still has
original dash, interior and seats. Car had very little rust or damage. I
have since sealed it against rust. Acquired original intake and carburetor
from John Logan recently and an Ebay air cleaner. Car is very close to
original. It was a local car unknown by Doug...Just blind luck...Regards,
