In the book, "Performance Tunig the Sunbeam Tiger", page 55 has the following causes of poor gas mileage: 1. main gas jets too large 2. too high fuel pump pressure 3. high float levels 4. idle mixture adjustment too rich 5. engine running too cold (use higher thermostat) 6. accelerator pump setting incorrect 7. clogged air cleaner Fred Baum 9470768 with an Edelbrock 4-bbl & good gas mileage (20 MPG highway) |
