And on the fuses....I had to have a car towed in last year that started, 
stalled and wouldn't restart.  It was corrosion around a fuse and this was a 
"modern" car.....1992 .  I would definitely clean up the fuse sockets as part 
of 
the process.  I think I remember that  a small fitting brush for cleaning up 
plumbing fittings fit that space perfectly and left everything shinny.  Of 
course 
it's so much easier if the fuse panel is taken our of the car.
