Tom
I don't have any good references to which vehicles might have the
15T gear.
Here is what is known from the part #.
15T C3OZ-17271-A C3 = 1963 O = Fairlane 1962 - 1968
The automatic gear is the same as far as I know.
I believe some Falcons and very early Mustangs might also have this part but
I'm just guessing.
If you have a really good Ford part guy you can talk to you might be able to
get a complete list of vehicles.(?)

Ron (others),
Since I "vacation" a significant number of times a year at Pick A Part
type of yards I was wondering if there is a general year range that the
desired 15 tooth gear can be found. Since this need has come up before I
might be able (over time) to aquire a few. Would the Automatics have a
similar gear or is it entirely different? To be honest about all the manual
Fords I find are the huge 3/4 ton and up truck trannys (that are "suppose"
to have Toploader style gears in them). Even the Overdrive 4 speeds from the
Mustang/Capri, Trucks etc. are getting quite rare. But, if the 15T gear is
out there I'll give it a go to get some as I'm able.
As it is I try and get most of the Volvo fans and MGB steering arms (I've
passed up a number of these because of the time/tools involved to get them
off). Most cars show up in these yards between 12-20 years. By 25-30 years
they are nearly extinct. So, I try and adhere to "Seniors" advice and "Get
to the get-in" because someday there will be nothing to have got. Regards,
Tom Witt
