The hood (top) stores down into the boot. Leave the vinyl boot cover
pulled back. Put on the hard top. Now while inside, hook the
straps on the panel where the hood went to the small eyeletss on
a bracket on your hadtop. The straps keep the cover from falling
down. Fold the ends of the cover under and lay it against the
bottom of the hardtop. The straps hook onto the studs on the
boot cover. Nice and neat when done.
Note: This pertains to MKIA and MK II, Only they had the
straps and only their hardtops had the small eyelets.
Of course this statement denies the existence of Alpine
V's.
