All things considered, 5 Tigers wasn't a bad turnout for British Car
Day. It was hot beyond words, barely short of triple digits at times.
I wimped out, and left my Tiger home, knowing that after a full day of
working the registration area, air conditioning would be required for
the mid afternoon trip home. The overall turnout of about 160 cars was
lower than the expected 200+.

For the second year in a row the museum staff committed a major faux pas
against TE/AE and the Sunbeam marque, by forgetting to order the Sunbeam
trophies. And the TVR folks can't be to happy with them either, again
having TRV on their awards. And to top it all off, I talked to Jim
Morrison, this and last years Sunbeam winner, who has yet to receive
last year's award. On numerous occasions he has discussed the matter
with the staff, to no effect. This certainly calls into question my
future support of the museum and British Car Day.
Thanks go to Ken Ritacco, Andy Bettencourt, Dana Freeman, Dave Twombly,
and Jim Morrison for enduring the heat and bring their Tigers. Enjoy
