"The usual problem, for the home builder, in designing a garage hoist for his Sunbeam Alpine, or Tiger hard top is locating a sheave block hoist (multiple pulley) of suitable reliability and lift capacity for this job." I would also suggest, that by far the strongest and most reliable block hardware is made for the yachting set. Try either Harken or Schaefer marine. Not inexpensive, but no worries of failure either.
