Seems like you have a ground problem or wiring problem in the rear
lights. Do you have a wire diagram to follow? See Tiger United if not.
http://www.tigersunited.com/resources/wsm/wsmN35.asp
The wire harness runs behind the drivers side kick panel and leads
down the sill to the rear of the car. You should be able to find the
connectors for that harness just under the dash on the left side. Check
all the connectors in the harness and make sure they are all correctly color
wired as per the wire diagram and check they are making good connections.
Ground is through the tail light assembly to the body, so check for any
corrosion around the bulb and in or on the socket.

Subject: Brake Lights
hey guys,
i have a real problem that stumps me. So im stuck.
Well when i apply the brakes, the right rear top light is on, but dim.
And the left rear bottom is on fully. Now this sounds like the problem
that had with my front turn signals, but it isnt. I used one of those
meters that take 2 AA batt. and on one end has a point, and out the
other side there is a alligator clip. Well i cliped the alligator to
the frame where the jack goes in for a good ground, and put the other
side in where the bulb goes. And put the brakes on and if the light
worked, the light on my meter would goes on, like the bulb would, but
it dosent. So that means that it has a good ground and still dosent
work. Well so now im stuck? What should i look for. I have no ideal
where the wires from the rears go to. I know that the right side goes
by the balancing tubes and to the other side. So i need some help. Also
how do i get the right side light to get brighter? And its not the
bulbs. Now another thing is that i have an extra set of rear lights w/
lenses off an alpine. Should i put the wire up to it, and see if its
the socket in the old 1? Or is that not it? Well as you can see im
realy confused. Please help me.
thanks for all you help on the speedo and all my other problems. Right
now my tiger has 25 miles on the odom. We are just getting all the bugs
out of the brakes. I got the throttle fixed too. Thanks again.
