Hi Joey, Big carburetor throats give you poor flow sensing at lower throttle openings, which means you're going to have issues with around town drivability. That's the whole reason why four-barrel carbs have primary and secondary venturis and throttle plates. A 390 or 465 CFM four-barrel with vacuum secondary actuation will give you crisp response at any throttle opening. A 390 CFM two-barrel is going to be boggy unless you're at higher RPM to start with.
