Joey,
Check out close-up of my 3 eared knock-off's from "American Racing", as
used on the Ken Miles prototype Tiger above on TigersUnited.com
http://www.tigersunited.com/techtips/tech_threads/tt-wheel.asp
These particular versions have the Sunbeam Specialties name plate
sticker, as used on the LAT-70, and they screw-on large 52 mm threads
exactly like real knock-offs, but they are a cast decorative item not
meant for a hammer. There is a set screw on the side to hold it on, and
it must be loosened, and the knock-off rotated, to get at the wheel lug
nuts. They were also available with screw-on hex exterior that was used
after knock off ears were made illegal on new cars. Story goes that a
policeman barked his shin on one.
A lot of other wheels on this page, as well.
American Racing no longer makes these wheels, but the 3 eared caps are
available from THEIR supplier in both screw-on 52 mm threads, as well as
the LAT 70 type with a center sheet metal screw put on from the back.
The should be available at tire stores that sell specialty wheels.
