Well the rivets are far from the only 'funny' thing about that ID plate. Can anyone recall any suffix that just read 'F' instead of 'FE'? How about the 'LRO' part? If the 'O' was originally used (as described by Norm) to designate home market cars, having a LHD (designated by 'L') would be impossible. The rest of the body on the car (square corners, vinyl top cover, etc) looks more like a Mk1A than a Mk1...
